Nancy is founder and chairman of The Conrad Foundation, created in 2008 to honor the innovative work and spirit of her astronaut husband Pete Conrad. In just five years, the Foundation has positively impacted the lives of thousands of young people by hosting the Spirit of Innovation Challenge – a global HS competition to mentor and reward students for addressing real-world challenges and global sustainability.

Nancy is a featured speaker at international conferences, including TED, MIT’s Legatum Institute, the Global Competitiveness Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and has presented at the Global Diversity Leadership Conference at Harvard University and the National Modeling and Simulation Coalition conference.
