2025 | Asteroid Institute | Annual Report
November 3, 2025

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our team, 2025 marked a year of continued progress for B612 and our Asteroid Institute in developing tools and technologies to understand, map, and navigate our solar system and protect our planet from asteroid impacts.
A highlight was the launch of the ADAM Platform, which makes advanced asteroid science tools accessible through a new online interface. These capabilities are already being used by the scientific community, including Rubin Observatory scientists preparing for the world’s most powerful asteroid-hunting telescope. We also shared our work widely. From sponsoring the Planetary Defense Conference to hosting a Seattle hackathon, our engineers remained deeply engaged with the community.
On June 30, during Asteroid Day’s 10th anniversary, we awarded the second Schweickart Prize to a team of students calling for an international body to manage the risks of human activity altering asteroid orbits.
None of this progress would be possible without the generosity of our Leadership Circle—Laurie Girand & Scott McGregor, the William K. Bowes, Jr. Foundation, Alison & Steve Krausz, Maryann & John Montrym, Tito’s CHEERS, and Google Cloud—as well as our many partners and supporters. Become part of our crew and donate today.
