Profile

Y’s resolve to save our planet earth from an Asteroid Impact stems from viewing the meteor showers in Tucson, Arizona where her father was a geologist. That in combination with the financial genius of her grandfather, Mr. D.O. McGoon Sr. who was President and founder of savings and loan banks in Naples, Florida brought her to the realization that with her brilliant husband who is one of the world’s most knowledgable planetary scientists (Clark R. Chapman), she could influence others to learn about the critical achievements of the nonprofit B612 and its roles in preventing an asteroid from impacting our Planet.

Y (lmc) first discovered her moniker when on a hike in Griffith Park in California with the top V representing the Herculean word “Victory”.

Clark Chapman is a co-founder of B612 and retired Senior Scientist at the Southwest Research Institute Department of Space Studies. His current research focused on the impact hazard and more generally on asteroids and the craters they form when they strike the surfaces of planets and satellites in the solar system.
