B612’s new Asteroid Institute enlists UW researchers
to help protect our planet.

Alan Boyle of GeekWire published an article on June 13, 2017 about B612’s new Asteroid Institute, a scientific and technical academic organization dedicated to protecting the Earth from asteroid impacts.

The article highlights the Asteroid Institute’s collaboration with the University of Washington, which will host the first two Asteroid Institute postdoctoral research fellows. It also touches on the Asteroid Institute’s priorities, including Asteroid Decision Analysis Machine (ADAM), which will work with UW’s DIRAC Institute, and synthetic tracking.
