Profile
Siegfried is an Asteroid Institute collaborator. He completed his PhD thesis on the subject of the habitability of terrestrial planets in binary star systems at the Institute for Astrophysics of the University of Vienna, Austria. Dr. Eggl then moved to Paris, France, in 2013. There, he worked as a post-doctoral planetary defense research associate at the Institut de Mécanique Céleste et de Calcul des Ephémérides (IMCCE). In 2016, Dr. Eggl accepted a research appointment from NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
He is now a research scientist at the University of Washington.
