Asteroid Institute 2022 Annual Progress Report

This has been an exceptional year for the Asteroid Institute thanks to our donors, partners, and growing engineering and science team who have enabled us to make our first asteroid discoveries using ADAM and THOR.  As announced in The New York Times in May, we have demonstrated that searching for asteroids with software can be cost-effective and time efficient using our tools.

This year, we have a generous matching gift challenge from Tito’s CHEERS (Creating Hope + Elevating Emerging Research + Science) program. This program is helping fund our computational astronomy tools to enable the mapping of our solar system. Donations will be matched up to $1 million.
