A note from Ed:

I wanted to give a big thank you to 60 Minutes for highlighting the need to find and track asteroids. Everyone here at the B612 Foundation is grateful to have had this national attention, and the opportunity to explain our work to millions of people around the world.

As Anderson Cooper points out, asteroids are both an opportunity and a threat, and our first order of business must be to find them. After all, you can neither explore nor deflect an asteroid that you haven’t found yet!

What the segment on 60 Minutes did not explain is that the public can take part in the solution by supporting the B612 Sentinel Mission.

Our nonprofit, private sector led mission will find 100 times more asteroids than all other current telescopes combined.

Our mission is fueled and funded by the resources and generosity of private citizens all over our planet. And that means our supporters know that they are helping explore space by mapping for the first time hundreds of thousands of Near Earth Asteroids. Their donations will give the world decades of advance notice of impending asteroid impacts, so we can stop playing Cosmic Roulette.

Be part of the solution!
