Asteroid Discovery Analysis and Mapping platform

The Asteroid Discovery Analysis and Mapping (ADAM) platform, developed by the Asteroid Institute, is an advanced open-source astrodynamics platform designed to enable the discovery, mapping, and analysis of asteroids. ADAM leverages cloud computing to handle vast amounts of astronomical data, allowing scientists to track and understand the orbits of asteroids with high precision.

Astrodynamics at Scale on the Cloud

Using Kubernetes for job orchestration and BigQuery for data handling, ADAM offers users faster, more efficient computations.

Advanced Algorithms and Tools

ADAM provides precise orbital propagators, precovery and advanced discovery algorithms such as THOR (Tracklet-less Heliocentric Orbit Recovery), to discover and track asteroids without relying on traditional tracklets.

Collaboration + Innovation

Open-source libraries make ADAM’s powerful asteroid discovery tools accessible to a global community, fostering collaboration, innovation, and transparency.
