Hank Grabowski is an Asteroid Institute Astrodynamicist and Principal Systems Engineer working on the Asteroid Decision Analysis and Mapping project (ADAM) at the Asteroid Institute.

With a 20+ year history in the software and astrodynamics industry, Hank brings a wealth of experience with building scalable software systems for keeping track of and flying objects in space. In recent years he has turned that attention towards free and open-source software systems and open data systems in this and many other industries. He looks forward to contributing to B612 to help answer the underlying problems of how we can get better at tracking asteroids in deep space and how to make the data digestible and available in a timely manner. He believes the B612 Foundation’s commitment to developing their algorithms and publishing them in the open is fundamental to helping all of humanity tackle these problems together.

Hank earned his BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He received the Aerospace Professional of the Year Award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2001.
