The Financial Times published an article written by B612 president, Danica Remy, and Asteroid Institute executive director, Ed Lu, that makes the case for mapping the inner solar system. They state that the first step in opening up a new frontier is to map it, and “our priority for developing the space frontier should be building a comprehensive dynamic map of the inner solar system.” This step is key to understanding the solar system, to future economic development of space, and to protecting the Earth from asteroid impacts.

You can read the full article as it was originally written here.

The piece in the Financial Times was shortened from the original because of space constraints.  Published on October 19, 2017, it is titled Space Mining, Asteroids and Why We Need to Map Inner Solar System and can be found here.
