The global virtual festivities kick off with the return of Asteroid Day TV (ADTV)– a 30-day broadcast featuring asteroid related content starting June 1st and running through June 30th.

Asteroid Day is an official United Nations day of education and awareness that aims to inspire the world about asteroids – their role in the formation of our universe, how we can use their resources in the future, how asteroids can pave the way for future exploration and finally how we can protect our planet from asteroid impacts.  B612 is a founding partner of Asteroid Day.

Asteroid Day is going digital in 2020!

The global virtual festivities kick off with the return of Asteroid Day TV (ADTV)– a 30-day broadcast featuring asteroid related content starting June 1st and running through June 30th. This year’s ADTV will have programming for all ages including academic documentaries, family learning movies, current asteroid mission highlights, origins of the planet and much more.

On June 30th,  ADLIVE Digital from Luxembourg will premiere. This 4-hour program will feature a select group of astronauts, asteroid experts and other notables speaking on the current missions advancing efforts to develop greater detection, tracking and deflection techniques, planetary defence, different space resource initiatives, and more.

To tune in visit www.asteroidday.org on June 1 and subscribe to their newsletter to find out other ways to watch.
